Whew, what a trip! I went to bed Friday night with a fever and was hoping and praying that it would break before 4:30 when I had to get up and get ready to go to the airport. Well, no such luck. I shivered and perspired with a fever, a pounding headache, and body aches for duration of our flights. When we landed in Osaka, I was pretty much spent and didn't have an ounce of energy left. We had a 1.5 hour bus ride, then a short train ride, then a quick dinner. I stopped by the drug store as my chest is beginning to tighten with congestion. After a long and confusing conversation with the clerk and an English speaking helper (barely speaking English), I decided on a medicine that I hope will ease the congestion. Oh, how I long for my Nyquil!
We are all settled in now, and I thought I'd share a bit about my difficult day. Enough complaining! Our hostess is lovely and made sure we had everything well understood before she left us for the evening. I'm headed to bed now with hopes of feeling better in the morning.
My goodness Kath. Hoping that you improve quickly! Take care of yourself.
